The Lithuanian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Fund (hereinafter – the Fund) invites to submit project applications aiming to promote the transfer of Lithuania's best practices in the areas of digital transformation, eurointegration, countering disinformation, fostering economic prosperity and strengthening of psychosocial health.
On 15 March, the Governing Board of the Fund announced eleven concepts for projects to be implemented in the priority countries according to Lithuania's Development Cooperation Strategy – Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Iraq and Kenya.
The Fund's Call for applications focuses on innovation – it is expected to receive project proposals that would provide innovative solutions, stimulate the development of new technologies, business models, and research enabling partner countries to address the challenges in digital transformation, education, climate change and other areas.
In response to the severe consequences of Russia's war in Ukraine on public health, the Fund also plans to allocate funding for projects that will help people traumatised by the war to receive quality psychosocial and physical rehabilitation services.
Funding is also foreseen for activities supporting democratic reforms in Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia , which are necessary for EU membership, for projects to strengthen strategic communication in Moldova and reinforce independent Belarusian media.
It is expected that the projects financed by the Fund will contribute to a more effective implementation of sustainable development goals in the partner countries, strengthen their ties with Lithuania and open up more opportunities for cooperation.
The total amount of funding – EUR 1 000 000. Project applications can be submitted by Lithuanian and foreign legal entities, other organisations, their subdivisions and natural persons.
Detailed information on the financed activities, requirements for applicants, submission and evaluation of project applications is available on the website of the Central Project Management Agency (CPMA) in Lithuanian and English.
