On 16-19th September, 2013, Ukrainian delegation of 7 representatives from different departments of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, and Veterinary and Phytosanitary Service visited Lithuania where took part in the activities of capabilities strengthening organized by National Paying Agency (NPA) under the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania.
During a visit activities of the NPA has been presented to ukrainians, including good practices in carrying out controls related to absorption of EU support for agriculture and rural development as well as preparation for aid administration in the upcoming financial period 2014-2020. The officials from Ukraine were interested in working out forecasts of financial demand, in aspects of administration of national support in Lithuania, in cross-compliance issues and related requirements.
Ukrainian delagation visited several beneficiaries of EU support, including the Local Action Group in Trakai, the agricultural enterprise with modern milking equipment in Griškabūdis, Šakiai region, and Medininkai check-point for familiarisation with the process of sampling for veterinary and pytosanitary purposes.
Visit is a part of the project "Transfer of Lithuanian experience as to introduction in Ukraine of efficient administrative control system of national support for agriculture and rural development in accordance with the EU requirements“, financed by the Programme of Development Cooperation and Promotion for Democracy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
