Development Cooperation with Mali

The strategic objectives of Lithuania's development cooperation policy have been determined based on the needs of African countries (Mali), the Programme of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, and the priorities of the EU’s Policy.

Sectoral priorities of the development cooperation strategy for Africa (Mali) in 2022‒2025:

1) the introduction of digital technologies to accelerate the economic and social development of the African continent;

2) the creation of jobs for young people and vocational training for women and girls;

3) the elimination of the obstacles to illegal migration.

In 2017-2019, three development cooperation projects are being implemented with the funds of the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme for 55,6 thousand euros. Support was provided in the areas of economic development and agriculture.
