Project goal

To promote the active participation of the youth of the Eastern Partnership countries in the local democratic and political life, labor markets, focusing mainly on disadvantaged youth. The project aims to contribute to sustainable and advanced growth, social cohesion and the reduction of inequality.

Project results

Launching events of the programme activities were held in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova and Georgia in 2022.

Project goal

Enhance the skills of civil society organizations in the target region to engage in international litigation and advocacy as part of a wider strategy to tackle systemic issues affecting women in their countries (e.g. sexual and gender based violence) through practical and tailored legal mentoring, legal clinics and training.

Project results
  • Two cases are identified and agreed with partners;
  • Advice provided on two legal cases;
  • Legal strategy developed in NG case against Georgia;
  • A roundtable on self-defence in domestic violence cases was held to identify strategic litigation issues and the need for expert assistance for partner lawyers;
  • New information on cases related to violence against women was collected.

Project is aimed at provision of independent alternative information at charter97.org to the readers to counter Russian propaganda in Belarus and the region under the conditions of partial blocking of the website on the territory of Belarus.

  • The Correspondents' Network has produced 116 publications for charter97.org in 2020: articles, commentaries, interviews, opinions from Lithuanian politicians, experts and activists.
  • A total of 708 articles were produced.
  • Readers were given the opportunity to exchange views and discuss the publications.
  • A meeting with Lithuanian and Belarusian correspondents improved cooperation between the editorial team and the correspondents, improved the quality of the articles, and another planned meeting was cancelled due to the pandemic.
